Just landed in Honolulu late last night! The hostel is kinda shabby, and I can’t find an outlet to charge my phone. I also tried the McDonald’s, but because I’m in a crowded area (Waikiki), they don’t want people hangin around!
Today I was feeling down, so I decided to take a shower. I’m sharing a room with five other guys, just about all of which are late night partiers and loud snorers. I had a big laugh today, because after feeling like the world had sabotaged me, I had forgotten my towel (a perfect reminder that I sabotage myself)😭🤣😂
Lastly, I wandered around, updated friends and family where I was, and then looked at all the now hiring signs— from cafes to retail stores. I have of sent my resume and cover letter via USPS mail to every resort in waikiki as well.
I will also be applying for some volunteer opportunities around the island. My philosophy is to cast a wide net and maybe something will stick!🌸🌺 So grateful for the opportunity to struggle and figure it out🏄🏻‍♂️
