Mark your calendars! ✨ The 28th Costume Designers Guild Awards (CDGA) will take place on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at The Ebell of Los Angeles, celebrating excellence in film, television, short form costume design, and costume illustration.

Here’s the timeline leading up to the big night:

•Sept. 19, 2025: Online submissions open at 9 am PT

•Nov. 10, 2025: Online submissions close at 5 pm PT

•Nov. 28, 2025: Nomination Ballot CDG voting opens at 9 am PT

•Dec. 5, 2025: Nomination Ballot CDG voting closes at 5 pm PT

•Dec. 12, 2025: Official Announcement of Nominees

•Jan. 14, 2026: Final Ballot CDG voting opens at 9 am PT

•Jan. 21, 2026: Final Ballot CDG voting closes at 5 pm PT

•Feb. 12, 2026: Winners Announced at the 28th CDGA

Last year’s CDGA, hosted by Jackie Tohn, honored Zoe Saldaña (Spotlight Award), Janelle Monáe (Vanguard Spotlight Award), Jenny Beavan (Career Achievement Award), Salvador Pérez (Distinguished Service Award) and the winners in the nine (9) competitive categories voted on by the Guild’s membership. Presenters included Kate Beckinsale, Quinta Brunson, Colman Domingo, Kathryn Hahn, Mindy Kaling, Justine Lupe, Connie Nielsen and Paul Tazewell.

Following the 27th Costume Designers Guild Awards, we hosted an exclusive CDG Education Master Class with CDGA Career Achievement Award Honoree Jenny Beavan at Radford Studio Center. 🌟 The insightful discussion was moderated by this year’s CDGA Distinguished Collaborator Award Honoree Salvador Perez.

A heartfelt thank you to for providing the perfect setting for this memorable event. Special thanks to Ivy Thaide, CDG VP & Education Director, and Anna Wyckoff, CDG Communications Director for their invaluable efforts in making the Master Class a success!

The Costume Designers Guild was founded in 1953 by a group of 9 passionate motion picture costume designers who joined together to advance the economic, professional and cultural interests of its members.

Today, the CDG includes more than 1,200 costume designers, assistant costume designers, and illustrators working in motion pictures, television, commercials, music videos, and new media programs throughout the world. Cheers to celebrating together at the 27th CDGA!
