In late 1981 Al Jourgensen was living in Chicago and involved in the underground scene. He began to write and record songs using a newly bought ARP Omni synthesizer, a drum machine and a reel to reel tape recorder. The demo of ‘I’m Falling’ caught Jim Nash of Wax Trax! Records attention, he offered to record its material professionally and to assemble a touring band which Al named Ministry. On May 10th 1983, Ministry released their debut album ‘With Sympathy’ on Arista Records. The rest is history. 🌹
