Kitwe woman dies after allegedly being beaten by husband’s girlfriend!

A woman of Kitwe has died after allegedly being beaten by her husband’s girlfriend in an incident that occurred in Ipusukilo, also known as Kapoto compound.

Copperbelt Police Commissioner Rae among said the incident happened on august 18, 2026, between 15:00 and 16:00 hours and was reported to riverside police station at about 18:50 hours by the deceased’s father.

Mr. among said the deceased was found unconscious following the alleged altercation and a postmortem conducted at Kitwe Teaching Hospital on August 21, 2026, established that the woman died from a brain injury, which she is suspected to have sustained after falling and hitting the back of her head.

He says police have since opened a docket of murder and launched a manhunt for the suspect, who is currently on the run.

Mr. Hamoonga says the Zambia Police is appealing to members of the public to cooperate with police by providing any information that could help locate and apprehend the suspect as investigations continue.
