randomly decided to practice some pool on a 7-foot table today and it felt good to finally be back on the table with some intention today. happy to report that i should probably practice more since i left my practice session today feeling so much better about my game.

today my focus was keeping control of the cue ball on the 7-foot table by finding the center of the table whenever i can. my angles and speed on the smaller table has me guesstimating more often than id like. so by the end of the session, i was just building up my confidence as i was able to make multiple runouts from just playing higher percentage pool and keeping that cue ball in the middle of the table as often as i can.

should i film some of my practice sessions? it would be interesting to say the least...

This ring game format will feature all four players competing in a game of 9-ball on a 9-foot table.

The following rules apply:

- Two-hour time limit.
- Each player will start off with 20 total chips at the beginning of the match.
- Order of play will be randomized at the start of the match and will be maintained throughout the entire match.
- No safeties allowed.
- Players will earn ONE chip from each of their opponents for pocketing the 5-ball.
- Players will earn TWO chips from each of their opponents for pocketing the 9-ball.
- Players are eliminated once they do not have any more chips remaining.
- Cue ball fouls only.
- Cue ball scratches will allow for ball-in-hand position in the kitchen. Any object balls pocketed or behind the kitchen line will be spotted on the head-spot in numerical order.
- Any fouls committed will be played where it lies. The incoming player will have the option to take the shot as is or give the shot back to the previous player.
- Referee racks. Nine ball on the spot. Break box used.
