Here‘s Dee Dee and Joey by the pool of the Sunset Marquis Hotel in Los Angeles, bonding with Gary „Mudbone“ Cooper from Bootsy‘s Rubber Band, a PFunk band created and led by bassist Bootsy Collins -
member of James Brown’s backing band.

The Ramones were in town to play in and around Los Angeles in August 1976, including shows at the Roxy and the Starwood.

In the crazy world of New Orleans funk, Nick Daniels stood tall as a voice of reason and wisdom. And just like his bass playing he knew when to drop the hammer and slap sense into the truth. I loved being with him onstage and off as his groove was oh so strong. Nick Daniels was one of the greats!

I’m sending prayers of condolences to his family and brothers in Dumpstaphunk.
