SURVIVORS: Meet Matthew McComas. He and his wife saw an EF4 tornado through their living room window, as it was headed straight for them. They grabbed their children and took shelter in a crawlspace while their house was destroyed above them.

A Marion, Illinois family narrowly escaped Friday’s EF4 tornado, but their home was destroyed. Now a group from two states away is helping them recover.
