Update on Minos the Saint from Baton Rouge

We wanted to use the next few weeks to shine a light on the many incredible musicians we have been fortunate to collaborate with, starting with .

He is kind. He is humble. But don’t be fooled, he is a monster musician. When it comes to learning our growing catalogue of songs, Chad created charts that could be framed and hung over the mantle at our family cabin in Montauk.

Even more, he joined us for summer music camp where he helped push us all into the new, at times terrifying waters of making a third album. And finally, in the matter of three days, he fought along side us, in that french quarter cave - only to emerge victorious with 12 👏 new 👏 songs. 💥

Thank you brother, we love you.

In addition to being Louis Armstrong's birthday yesterday, it was also the birthday of Larry Knechtel, an important musician to many artists.

Larry was born August 4, 1940 and was among the group of studio musicians later dubbed by Hal Blaine as The Wrecking Crew.

He started off learning piano and became part of the studio musician scene adding his own mark to Phil Spector's "wall of sound", after touring 4 years with Duane Eddy & the Rebels.

He was proficient on several other musical instruments, notably the harmonica, guitar, and bass, which can be heard on "Mr. Tambourine Man" by The Byrds, "If I Can Dream" by ELVIS PRESLEY and the Doors' debut album, as well as recordings by Simon & Garfunkel, The Beach Boys, Dixie Chicks and Neil Diamond. He earned a Grammy for his piano work on "Bridge Over Troubled Water".

In 1971, Larry joined the band Bread where he contributed bass, keyboards, and notably the guitar solo on "Guitar Man". Jimmy remembers Larry very fondly.
