DEAR LORD, PLEASE DON'T
TAKE RUSH LIMBAUGH YET

It's an all too common diagnosis for people in their 70s these days which is still very sad news but if one has given up smoking decades ago the prognosis can be MUCH better than ever before. Some 25% of people diagnosed with lung cancer actually beat it into remission nowadays. They survive to live out their days to eventually die of natural unrelated causes in their sleep or on the lounge. Let's all hope & pray Rush beats this and sticks around another decade or two and passes peacefully that way ... in his sleep ... or (knowing his work ethic) on the air in the middle of an anti-Liberal rant 😂. The world needs patriots & defenders of the truth like Rush Limbaugh. Conservative old fashioned America needs him now more than ever. Please don't take him yet Lord!

Tonight your kind, generous & brave American volunteer firefighters have become forever American-Aussies losing their lives helping to defend their distant cousins 9,000 miles away. They died on impact in an American C130 Hercules plane which sadly crashed at 1.30 pm today en route to water bombing wildfires in Cooma, southern New South Wales. They have not died in vain. They will always be remembered with love by EVERY Australian touched by this cataclysmic bushfires tragedy. Whilst there are no words to cushion this worst of all blows to their distraught US families & friends, your Down Under cousins send you all their love & bro hugs, sister hugs & grandpa/grandma hugs & deepest condolences. Now is NOT the time to speculate on the possible structural failings which may have caused the crash with its shifting payload ... it is a time to grieve & console our beautiful friends & cousins in the United States.
May God bless their souls ...

All we can do now is love them all & hope some day they can somehow find it in their hearts to forgive us (Australians too) for our convict & unsupervised copper ancestors also have way too much blood on their hands "relocating" entire tribes which was 1830s code for a wipe-out! Sorry doesn't cut it. But hopefully you all can tell from the tears we shed with you today - daily in our heavy hearts - at least goes some way albeit well short thereof to validate your devastated feelings.
A billion apologies won't bring them back but please help us at least to honour your ancestors' memories. We do love you.

Burst into tears when this came on the radio.
Couldn't help it, sorry. He meant a lot to me & inspired me into journalism & thousands more. Never worked with him so cannot vouch for all the rows he allegedly had with Tracey Grimshaw & Derryn Hinch et al but all that aside he was a compassionate, fair, balanced, mighty tough interviewer & he did many marvellous things including discovering Paul Hogan & the heart-wrenching stories he did with Quentin & a neighbour of ours in the 1970s; a little Riverstone boy dying of cancer

Modern day stand-up comedians need to research the innovative legends of humour. They need to pay particular attention to the sheer genius of cracking up an audience with simply brilliant original material as was the case in this sketch ... how clever painters were back in the day to wait for a piece of gauze to float through the air & land on the nether regions of a naked fat lady posing for her portrait.

"If the gauze landed on her nose the painter probably went off to lunch until the gauze landed on precisely the right spot so he could finish the picture," Cook explains. "Of course there must have been lots of gauze flying around in the air back in the middle ages," he said.
