Summer has finally arrived in the UK and the sun is such a mood booster!
This month has been full of ups and downs and I’ve just come back from a week of self-care and recovering from burnout, so I’m glad to be back and in my creative flow again! I’ve made so much progress on the comic this month and the prologue is almost complete, although a few story edits are needed before I’m able to start on the first chapter.
To avoid burnout as we step into August, and to build confidence in my writing and illustration, I’m making time for learning in my work schedule and more time for creative practice. I’m also trying to include more days out for research and generally building experiences, which I feel is so important for storytelling. And finally, I’ve recently started taking a writing Masterclass, so I’ll let you know how that’s helped my writing later this month!
