The Damaging Wind risk increases for Saturday - especially in the darker orange areas. A complex of storms may develop and track into portions of western GA from Alabama bringing with it the chance of 60-70mph wind gusts. Timeframe is likely by Saturday afternoon into the evening hours.

The tricky part is determining exactly where these storms will end up tracking through at. As of right now, the SPC has targeted this more deeper orange color for the enhanced wind risk. However, this risk area will likely shift by tomorrow’s outlook.

The Tornado threat is low tomorrow, but non-zero.

The threat for severe weather returns Friday and Saturday with a Level 2 risk in place both days - with Saturday’s risk covering more of the state. Our main risk for severe weather on Friday depends on whether strong storms develop and move into the red-shaded area from Tennessee and Alabama in the afternoon hours. Main risk will be damaging wind gusts/hail with those storms.

On Saturday, a more organized complex of storms moving in from the west could impact the state by the afternoon and evening hours. The primary threat will be damaging wind gusts. Confidence is low on where this complex will track through at.
