We strive to make a difference in all aspects of the entertainment field. We focus on artists that are less fortunate to receive support from corporations, and are not given a chance to be heard, seen, or read. We keep all actions completely professional. We do this by maintaining a serious focus, a moving forward mindset as well as a realistic goal setting attitude. In doi

ng this, we distinguish all representatives of Mightier Than The Sword Entertainment from the majority of the entertainment industry’s lack of substance. We do not expect perfection, but we do demand artists with outstanding work ethics and talent, the artists that realize their true potential but have never been given that chance to expose their abilities…. MIGHTY MARCH is over, but the keeps going ALL YEAR!

I've reconnected a bit with Maurice Hicks and his current art endeavours (Check out his exhibtion AKIKO: FORMLESS WOMAN at The Continental CLUB until April 11th btw) and just so happened to run across these photos from our original SWORD SATURDAYS run!

DAY 6 of MIGHTY MARCH!

BLAZE BELUSHI!

Blaze was the first artist to collaborate with MTTS that was outside of the original Scan Fam core. This would also be with the help of Jonathan Coleman and Pete Wurthy. He would eventually be one of the rare features from the first widely distributed MTTS album, On The Brink.

It eventually was such a good fit, Blaze joined the label shortly after and we still work with him to this very day! There was a great conversation we had with him a few years ago on ASHEBORO UNDECIDED, gives some history on his time with MTTS! Watch today!

DAY 5 of MIGHTY MARCH!

You ever feel like it's not working for you? Like you want to hang it up, leave your passion behind? Well at a young 26 years old, I was there. And hindsight shows me that it never even really started by that point, but Asheboro, being dry and no nightlife whatsoever, I thought many times about not creating any longer.

Charlotte changed all that. It awakened in me something artistically that I never will forget or downgrade. That city was my home for a few years until Asheboro decided it was time to progress. Jonathan Coleman and Eric Brayman were key components in propelling me to other heights and in turn helping MTTS tremendously in that first full year of operations.

Monday nights were the best. I was able to perform my spoken word early in the evening and then finish off the night with hip hop nights.

In this top photo I feel like this was the very last night The Spot was a thing.

A critical part in strengthening the foundation of MTTS.
