If you’re looking for a casual yet stylish place to dine on the Las Vegas Strip, Buddy V’s Ristorante inside The Venetian offers a good Italian experience with a modern twist. Known for its celebrity chef backing (yes, that Buddy from Cake Boss), the restaurant blends home style comfort with a Vegas flair.

We stopped in during our recent trip, and while the meal was above average, not quite a standout for us, it’s a solid option if you’re staying near The Venetian or looking for a no fuss Italian dinner before a show with minimal wait times. The menu has a little something for everyone, from classic pastas to hearty entrees and rich desserts.

What made our visit even more fun? During the Backstreet Boys residency at The Sphere, Buddy V’s is offering two special themed cocktails to celebrate the event. So if you’re heading to the show, it’s a great preconcert stop for a quick bite and a signature drink.

Every dish we tried was memorable, from the artfully plated seafood to the creamy risottos and housemade pastas. The attention to detail, from service to presentation, makes this more than just dinner. It’s an experience.

We just had an unforgettable behind the scenes look at real working TV and film sets during the Universal Studios Hollywood Backlot Tour, a few weeks ago, and one of the highlights was seeing the St. Denis Medical set, location used in numerous productions over the years.

What made it even more exciting? These sets are located right across the street from the iconic Back to the Future Clock Tower filming location, and while we were there, they were actively filming the new Fresh Prince series in the same area. It's moments like this that make the backlot tour such a must do for any movie lover or high end traveler looking for an authentic slice of Hollywood history.

Being this close to real sets used in active productions was surreal. From standing next to sound stages to seeing facades used for major scenes, it’s a rare opportunity to peek behind the curtain of the entertainment industry and it definitely didn’t disappoint.

We loved the full-on Forrest Gump theming. From the iconic quotes on the table to the server quizzing us on movie trivia for a chance at free dessert. The energy inside was vibrant, the service welcoming, and the food hit the spot, especially if you're craving shrimp done every way imaginable.
