The World Series is returning to the United States for the first time since 2019.

This time with Beast of Big Creek , a 23K Sky course with 1600M+ of vertical on Washington’s Olympic Peninsula.

Frequent cohost .tusa hopped on the show for an emergency episode so we could discuss the news and what might be next for Skyrunning in the United States. We speculated a fair bit that this might not be the last Skyrunning announcement in the states 👀

It’s registration week & with that the fields are starting to come together !

The 23K field is starting to take shape as elite registrations roll in, with that, here’s a wayyyyyy too early look at the 23K men’s elite field !

🔹 ‘25 BA Ascent Champ & 2:09 marathoner returns
🔹 Soon to be Olympian & ‘22 BA Ascent Champ returns
🔹 First ballot hall of famer & ‘22 Champ returns
🔹 2/3’ds of the 2025 Worlds US Men’s Mountain Running Team will be competing, including - &
🔹 will be making his first rookie appearance at the 23K as he looks to make his name on the big stage
🔹 I must have convinced him in our podcast episode, but I’m really excited to see 2X Leadville champ on the start list !

Chad is a man of many talents. Trail running, cycling, mtb & he’s the closest thing to a philosopher I’ve ever had on the show.

This episode was so much fun to record. We debriefed Chad’s 100k race, including his battle with . We talked about his life in sport, the short trail scene, athlete value and then took a left turn and got meta - we talked about life & values, spirituality and so much more. Probably the most fun I’ve ever had recording an episode. I really appreciate both Chad the athlete & Chad the human.
