Today was a beautiful day for our niche little sport of sub-ultra. We watched 300+ brave individuals make the pilgrimage to the temple of victory or defeat. They braved fierce winds, mud, humidity and everything the east coast could throw their way in route to conquering the course.
We saw new stars make their mark on the sport, and others show why experience matters.
Triumph, elation, joy, sadness, defeat - we watched a myriad of emotions unfold as 7 men & women were selected to represent team USA at the World Mountain Running Championship in September.
It was a total honor to get to help commentate this race with and and help tell the stories of these athletes. Thanks so much to & for inviting me. You guys put on a world class event.
Giant congratulations to - - - - - & who punched their ticket to team USA, and to everyone else who went to the depths of their soul in pursuit of big goals today. Thank you for continuing to inspire myself and so many others.
