Legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle passed away on Sunday (April 12, 2026) at Breach Candy Hospital. She was 92. The iconic singer had been admitted on Saturday evening due to exhaustion and a chest infection, and hospital authorities confirmed that she died of multi-organ failure following a cardiac arrest.

Her son, Anand Bhosle, confirmed the news to the media outside the hospital, saying, “She passed away today.” He also shared that those wishing to pay their final respects can visit her residence at 11 a.m. on Monday (April 13), while the last rites will be held at Shivaji Park at 4 p.m.
