🤩 I got flowers !

With a wonderful Mass at 11 this morning I got officially welcomed in the Genarps Församling.
I even got my own benediction 😇.

A season of music , service playing and projects start; I start anew and it is a wonderful job to be a Church Musician, an Organist, at God’s service to serve people.

Thank you all of you from the bottom of my heart ♥️

Tonight at 19:30 🕢 I will be playing the Third Station of four short concerts.
A sort of „Via Organi“ in Söderslätt. 🚙 🚗

Then last Organ-Station 🚉 will be in Västra Alstad with Nicholas final concert. 20:45.

Here a couple of impressions of church in Anderslöv with a quite nice instrument of Olof Hammarberg of Göteborg (Gothenburg).

- A travel through Söderslätt: 4 Churches and 4 Organ with 4 Organists and 4 different short music programs. to a walking-concert-evening. I Will be playing in Anderslöv Kyrka, .s.orgue in Västra Alstad and two other great performers in other two churches. CHECK THE PROGRAM! - you can come to all of them or to some of them; but you should definitely come!!! !!! 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎

Since August 1st I have been hired as Organist/Churchmusician in the ! in Genarp❗️❗️❗️

Three wonderful churches with four great instruments 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

̈dning 🫣

⚠️ WASH HANDS before Playing❗️Please ‼️
It doesn’t matter which instrument you play; even if you do not share your instrument 🎷

Quite some time ago this year I was jumping around from church to church ⛪️ to substitute as guest organist. It is always fun do do it until I arrived and sat at this organ: dirty keys 😨and very very sticky keys 🎹 🤢

The time I could have spent to prepare myself for the service/mass, it has been dedicated to the cleaning of the keyboard. 😥 no chemicals guys; just gently wet paper towels 🧻 (it also the only I had in my bag 💼 - it was meant for my lunch but… who cares).

So, you can see ”Before” and ”After” - 👏honestly the organ was quite a nice instrument 😅😇

If you know, you are going to share an instrument, wash your hands before playing; if not out of respect for the next person, at least out of respect for the instrument: organs are very expensive instruments to maintain.

Play well, be clean, have fun 🤩

Among the many things that are taking place in this awesome summer, my Lunch-Concert at the Hålta Kyrka was one of them. Friend and Colleague Benedetta invited to me to perform a 30 minutes program in this little but very cute church with quite a special instrument; very well voiced. 🎶

I am very thankful and happy to have brought “my” music proposal to this congregation and parish.

And to all of you out there: I am available for your music series and programs! 😇

This morning I played at the Mass in Gödelöv church. It is a little but very cute church with a little very cute instrument. 🥰
Wisely position on the exact opposite side of the altar, the organ fills the space beautifully.
So yes: you can do good music with small instrument (organs) and yes, even small churches deserve good music. 😉
It was a wonderful service with very engaged people! I enjoyed every minute of it and the fact that so much music was planned! 😍
Other than the 5 hymns and the music of the liturgy I had the chance to perform three pieces of music: Lefebure-Wely after the Sermon; Hesse after the Credo and then BWV
576 of J.S.Bach as a postlude. (Monday 28th was the 275th anniversary of his death ☠️).

Fun playing in a rainy Sunday. 😇

Sunday afternoon (yesterday) I had to substitute at the church in Vrångö (one of the southern archipelago of the ̈rgården islands) in front of . It was quite warm even in the church and I sweated all myself to play this little instrument. 😎🤩
There is one positive aspect on playing small instruments in small churches (with dry acoustic): every little imprecision comes out like a major DISASTER 🥲😅🥹🥲😅🥹

OH MY OH MY OH MY …
I loved 🥰 it but also I was scared 😱 as 💩

If you are able to play on a unmerciful little instrument, then you can play everywhere!

⛪️

This Sunday has started with the 11am Communion Service at the Chrstinae Kyrka in Gothenburg.
A thunderstorm hit the church so we did not have bells today and it has been a wonderful opportunity to start the service with a 5 mins organ prelude: i chose the Flor Peeter’s Fugue of the first prelude and fuge of the op. 72.

The second manual was also unusable due to a technical problem BUT there were (anyway) enough stops 😝 to be played! 😂😂😂 tons! 😍🥰

For a short postlude I then decided for the prelude of the same same composition.
What FUN FUN FUN 🤩 to have the chance to sit regularly on that bench!
So much love 🥰 for that church!!! It feels home! 🏡

… and now on the way to Vrångö… little church, little organ, but still tons of fun!

🌟I want to mention and his compositions. He published great books with smart and original compositions, which can be really useful, helpful and inspiring for both the church services as well as concerts!

I had his books since my time as in Stuttgart and I brought them with me to in order to bring some originality to the church repertoire!

Yesterday was one of those days full of . 5,5 hours of G. Fauré‘s Requiem.

Three of those have been spent conducting the GSC - Gothenburg Symphony Choir.
WHAT A TREAT! ❣️❤️‍🔥
I say thank you to all the wonderful singers.
A special BIG THANK goes to my conducting teacher for this year: Katie Thomas‼️Who made possible such a great and unique opportunity; again: WHAT A TREAT🤩
