Watching these majestic nets dangled in mid-air, row upon row, is a truly mesmerising experience. Set up on bamboo and teak poles, the Chinese fishing nets are fixed land fittings for an unusual form of fishing — shore operated lift nets. Suspended horizontally over the sea, the nets give the appearance of an enormous hammock.

World Environment Day thoughts.

Team @ Responsible Travel World decided to update on World Environment Day after the usual rush in Social Media.

We would like to share about a village in Kerala, South India which doesn't have wells in any of its homes. Of the 300 plus homes in Elapeedika, Kannur, Kerala; all source water from Kanjhiram Puzha a small stream starting from Thampuran Mala above Elapeedika. Even during the worst summers villagers source water from pipes individually connected from the stream to their homes.

What better way to explain this years WED theme of Connecting Nature.
