Tragically, on May 17th, 2025 Kaitlyn Ann Ellison was struck by a drunk driver. Sadly, she lost her life, as well as her unborn daughter. She was a single-mother with 3 young children, returning home from work.

Donations will be used for the cremation and any funding possible to help cover the expenses involved to help raise her 3 children who have tragically lost their mother.

Sending harassing messages to the victim’s family isn’t a good look. Honestly, it shows your heart.

You may not like that your family member, friend, or favorite business owner is being civilly sued. Oh well. That is a risk every business takes.

Guess what? The family of Alanah and Zayn have to live with their pain every single day. The other victims have to live with their pain every single day.

Harassing victims is not the move. It’s gross.

Marshella Chidester has been sentenced to the following:

-25-50 years for the 2nd degree murder of Alanah Phillips.
-25-50 years for the 2nd degree murder of Zayn Phillips.

-24-60 months for Counts 5-9, Operating under the Influence Causing Serious Injury.

-84 months-180 months for Counts 3 and 4, Operating under the Influence Causing Death.

All sentences to run concurrent.

Chidester essentially received a life sentence today. It’ll never be enough, but Judge White did what he could do within the sentencing guidelines. Chidester will leave prison in a box.

After sentencing tomorrow; I want this murderers name off the name of this page. This page will be used to honor and remember Lana and Zayn, as well as keep drunk driving in the spotlight. Please comment name suggestions below. The murderers name was only initially used because unfortunately in the world of crime; the defendant’s name always gets more attention than the victims. After tomorrow, her name is a ghost in the wind as she’s shipped off to rot behind concrete. May God have mercy on her soul because she showed zero mercy or remorse to her victims.
