It's Wednesday and that means it's time for some Motown and Soul music on CRFM! This week Paul Braithwaite is sitting in the hot seat and will bring you a fine selection of tracks to get you up and moving. The Dells, Four Tops, Supremes, Velvelettes, Wilson Pickett and Mary Wells are only some of the artistes who will be getting you out on the floor tonight. Put on your dancing shoes and be prepared to shake the tail feathers from 7-10pm on CRFM!

In this week's Country Club Paul Braithwaite will introduce you to some new names in the world of country music. Sandee June will sit alongside Roland Whitt who will also share air time with Alexandra Kay. Don't worry there will also be some more familiar names to keep you entertained in the form of Crystal Gayle, Charlie Pride and Alan Jackson. Ready for this week’s ’Cake of the Week’? 🤔 OK then, here you go. 😀 HOKEY POKEY CUPCAKES! 🧁😋. A very tasty variation on a standard cupcake with maple syrup & ‘Crunchie’ bars. Why not have a go - recipe below. Tune in next Sunday morning with Paul Johnston for another tasty recipe. 👍🏻😀

HOKEY POKEY CUPCAKES - makes 6

For the cupcakes:

INGREDIENTS
110g (4 oz) Be-Ro Self Raising
Flour
110g 4 oz) caster sugar
110g 4 oz, unsalted butter, softened
2 eggs, beaten
A few drops of vanilla essence
2 Tbsp milk

1. Preheat oven to fan 160°C, conventional 180°C, gas 4.

2.Line 6 hole muffin tin with 6 paper cases.

3.Sift the flour into a bowl and put to one side. Using an electric whisk, cream sugar and butter together until light and fluffy.

4.Gradually add the beaten eggs, vanilla essence and milk with a little of the flour after each addition. Fold in the remainder of the flour until all the ingredients are combined.

5.Divide mixture between cake cases and then bake for 20 minutes, until lightly golden.

6.Place on a cooling rack.

7.Decorate as below.

HOKEY POKEY FROSTING

Gently melt 75g (3 oz) butter, 1 Tbsp milk, 1 Tbsp soft dark brown sugar and 1 Tbsp maple syrup in a saucepan; beat in 200g (7 oz) sieved icing sugar, cool before swirling over the cupcakes, finish with crushed honeycomb bar.
