They’re taking advantage of professional opportunities their predecessors didn’t have as they compete for Brooklyn Football Club in the GainbridgeSuperLeague. Lexi Missimo and Raising Her Game Director Rush Olson provided insights on the making of the docuseries and the world of pro soccer on The Women’s Soccer Podcast. Host Liam Greco asked thoughtful questions to facilitate the storytelling. RHG (streaming on Tubi & The Roku Channel) charts key developments in the advancement of women’s soccer, and in many ways it’s a sign of progress that a podcast like Liam’s even exists. The episode covers how Texas players learned in the series about challenges women faced in getting their sport taken seriously. Early pioneers could barely have dreamed a player like Missimo could make a living at a club like her current on in Marseille, much less have a whole interview session devoted to the women’s game. And, of course, when Title IX passed, the word “podcast” had not yet been conceived either. So check it out and enjoy the soccer talk!

Today is National Dog Day! So we post photos of dogs – here we have Zeus and Charlie (along with Charlie’s cousin Stanley). They appeared in Episode 3 of the Raising Her Game docuseries, now streaming on Tubi & The Roku Channel. Yes, it’s about soccer. But they provided a connecting thread in the narrative (along with a cat named Tito) that helped us transition during a segment about the growth of women’s professional opportunities. Also, it gave us an excuse to show cute dog images, which pretty much everyone likes – it’s why we have a National Dog Day!

Get ready, Iceland! Lauren Lapomarda is coming! In the Raising Her Game docuseries, NWSL forward Messiah Bright said about the former Texas Longhorn defender, “She's gritty, she loves to get after it, there's no quit in her.” Lapo’s also a fantastic person and will now play for Þór/KA in the top flight. Yeah!!!!

In our Raising Her Game docuseries, we tracked Lexi Missimo’s career from youth through college, using the experiences she and her teammates had as a lens into the bigger picture of women’s sports and U.S. soccer. When she moved from North Texas to Marseille last week, it provided added insight into the themes we explored in the series. Rush Olson of Mint Farm Films explains why in this blog post.

Rush Olson of Mint Farm Films, who directed the Raising Her Game docuseries, now streaming on Tubi, immersed us in the recent FWC26Dallas. Check out his articles on the RHG website covering art, global superstars, beer, and even cricket!

The last two months have been big ones for soccer and for the Raising Her Game soccer docuseries. RHG went live on Tubi as of July 1 and they included it in their World Cup content hub. Meanwhile, the state of Texas, where the docuseries was shot, hosted 16 Men’s World Cup games in Arlington
