APGA Leaders Hold Strategic Meeting in Agulu Ahead of November Election

Members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra State on Saturday converged at the Agulu residence of Chief Ben Obi (popularly known as Igwe APGA) for a strategic planning session ahead of the November 8, 2025 governorship election.

The meeting, attended by top party figures and community stakeholders, featured the Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Ben Obidike, who joined discussions on campaign coordination and voter mobilisation across Anaocha Local Government Area. Ward leaders, councillors and other grassroots organisers participated in the session designed to strengthen APGA’s outreach efforts.

Hon. Romanus Ibekwe, Mayor of Anaocha, and Chief Francis Okoye led presentations that highlighted the achievements of the current administration under Governor Chukwuma Soludo. They urged party members to intensify efforts to educate voters about the government’s development projects and to play active roles in the upcoming polls.

Participants ended the meeting with a collective pledge of loyalty to the governor and a renewed commitment to deliver another electoral victory for APGA. Party leaders said the gathering reflects the organisation’s deep grassroots support and readiness to retain its stronghold in Anambra politics.

Dear Youths, and the entire people of Anaocha LGA, Anambra State,

It is often said that hard work beats talent when talent refuses to work hard. This truth is clearly seen in the life and journey of Chief Sir Anthony Ugorji (Okigbo Mbem).

Talent by itself is never enough. Many people are born with gifts, but without focus, discipline, and persistence, talent will waste away. Others may appear more talented, more connected, or more privileged, but once you add consistent effort, dedication, and the will to keep moving forward, you will always have the upper hand.

Chief Sir Anthony Ugorji embodies this principle. From the earliest days of his life, he has been known as a man who does not run away from challenges. He has labored, endured, and invested sweat and time just to carve out a path for himself and his people. What made the difference for him was not just talent — it was hard work. He applied himself, remained consistent, and continued to fight for survival and success.

Today, that same determination has lifted him to the respected position of APGA Chairman of Anaocha LGA, a role in which he continues to serve with commitment and passion. Beyond politics, he has also become a voice of hope to the people, using platforms such as the Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS) to spread the message of development, unity, and a brighter future for Anambra State (Maka Odimma Anambra).

His life story carries an important lesson for every youth: hard work is the true key to success. Talent may open a door, but it is only hard work, consistency, and resilience that will keep that door open and create new ones.

Moral of his story: No matter where you are starting from, no matter the odds stacked against you, never stop working hard. Like Chief Sir Anthony Ugorji (Okigbo Mbem), your determination can take you from humble beginnings to a place of honor and impact in your community.

Ilu Igbo si: “Ọrụ bụ ụzọ ndụ; onye ji ọrụ eje, anaghị atụ egwu ụzọ.”
(Work is the path of life; he who walks with work does not fear the journey.)

I Hon. Barr. Peter Oge-Emeneh (Okwute Di A*o) Applauds the Flag-Off of the Renovation of Nri Boys Sports Stadium

In the heart of Anaocha, a new chapter has begun. The Flag-Off of the Renovation of Nri Boys Sports Stadium marks not only a historic moment for Nri community, but also a turning point for the entire youth population of Anaocha Local Government Area.

As Deputy Mayor of Anaocha LGA, I, Hon. Barr. Peter Oge-Emeneh (Okwute Di A*o), stand proud to be part of this transformative journey — one that speaks directly to the dreams, talents, and aspirations of our vibrant young people.

This project is not just about sand, steel, and grass. It is about creating a future where our youths can train, compete, and rise to greatness. From football to cricket 🏏, athletics to other sporting disciplines, the renovated stadium will become the breeding ground for champions who will carry the name of Anaocha, Anambra, and Nigeria to the world stage. 🌍✨

I extend my deepest appreciation to Barr. Chukwudi Oli (Oba Ezeafia Anaocha), the proud sponsor of this monumental project. His vision and investment in our youths’ future is a shining example of leadership rooted in service, growth, and empowerment. Indeed, he has sown a seed that will yield generations of sportsmen and women who will make us proud locally, nationally, and internationally.

Special recognition also goes to Mr. Patrick Estate Onyedum, Executive Chairman of the Anambra State Sports Development Commission, whose presence affirms the government’s dedication to grassroots sports. My brother, the APGA Chairman of Anaocha LGA, Chief Sir Anthony Ugorji (Ozoebubechukwu), reminded us all with powerful words that “APGA is here, and Solution is here.” Together with our PGs, community leaders, and the hundreds of youths who filled the venue with energy and excitement, this occasion has written history for our people.

To the youths of Anaocha: this is your chance. The doors have been opened, the stage is being set, and the opportunity is here for you to chase your dreams harder than ever before. The world is waiting for your talent, your resilience, and your passion. Whether it is the U-19, U-21, male or female national teams, the champions of tomorrow will come from here.

This is more than a stadium renovation — it is a movement of hope. It is proof that when we unite under the banner of progress, nothing is impossible.

APGA is here! Solution is here!
The future begins now, and it begins with us.

Signed:
Hon. Barr. Peter Oge-Emeneh (Okwute Di A*o)
