Scary scene unfolding as we drove past a farm pasture. Didn't get any photos of the initial fire or smoke coming from the field, but as we drove by it appeared someone was frantically driving a skid-steer around in a field that was being taken over by a runaway fire. We initially weren't sure what the guy in the skid-steer was doing, but realized after coming back that he was trying to get all the hay and flammable material further away from all the flames. It was really close and he's very lucky the entire field didn't go up in flames with all the dry material near. As the fire spread across his land and into neighboring land and creeks it was apparent the person was in flight mode trying to handle the situation. Across the road was a large hurd of cattle that all wandered up to the fire directly in the line of fire if it happened to hop the road. Luckily we were able to call fire rescue and they arrived on scene quickly with being able to get it under control. The photos are after everything was put out. You can see all the black grass and woodline that was burnt and actively spreading. Just when you think you're having a tough day this made us realize it could always be worse. Glad to be able to get help in route and quickly get things under control all without even knowing or speaking with whoever was going through the situation. Scary.
