Fifield Piaker Elman Architects (NYC) recently completed a 50 million dollar award-winning renovation of the historic Paramount Building in Times Square. FPE did an amazing job modernizing the location while maintaining its legacy aesthetic.
I was brought in a day before the grand opening to shoot a video walkthrough of the lobby area, which is now posted to the Paramount Building website. Welcome local video producers! This FB page originally started out as a meetup group and immediately attracted more than 100 local video producers with a variety of job titles. Well, a year later, I still had yet to find the time to organize the group. During that year, I found myself in need of support a number of times, whether finding a great PA, buying or selling a piece of equipment, locations question, and more. Eventually, it dawned on me that there is a dire need for local video production companies to have a centralized place to communicate and help each other. There actually is plenty of opportunities to go around and we often work in isolation. So I have decided to start this page in the effort to open a dialog which is never usually available amongst "competitors". In 2019 I hope to bring this hub up to speed and get local to work together for the greater good of our industry. I look forward to seeing how this all plays out.
