BREAKING: Kasie Hunt Corners Jim Jordan Over His Double Standard on Abuse Allegations and Won't Let Him Squirm Away
Jim Jordan walked onto CNN thinking he could dodge, and Kasie Hunt refused to let him. When she pressed him on why he's out campaigning for Rep. Max Miller, who stands accused of horrifying domestic abuse, Jordan reached for the oldest excuse in the book: "I've not heard all this stuff."
Hunt shut that down instantly. "Well, it was in The New York Times," she fired back.
The allegations against Miller are severe. His ex-wife, Emily Moreno, says he threw hot water on her, held a gun to her head, slammed her into a wall, and fractured their daughter's collarbone. Miller denies it. But rather than reckon with any of that, Jordan called it "a family matter" and praised Miller as "a good man" he hopes wins reelection.
Then Hunt delivered the knockout. She played Jordan's own words attacking Democrats for once supporting a Maine candidate accused of abuse, and asked why the same standard doesn't apply to Republicans clinging to this seat. Jordan fumbled, claimed he didn't know the context, and tried to change the subject.
She didn't let him. She corrected him in real time, laid out the hypocrisy plainly, and made him sit in it on live television.
This is what real accountability looks like. Not letting a powerful congressman hide behind "I hadn't heard," not letting him wave away serious abuse allegations as a private matter, and not letting him pretend his own past words don't exist. Kasie Hunt did her job, and she did it fearlessly.
