Dig Dug

is a maze arcade video game released by Namco in 1982. It was distributed in North America by Atari, Inc. The player digs underground tunnels to attack enemies in each level, by either inflating them to bursting or crushing them underneath rocks.

Upon release, Dig Dug was well received by critics for its addictive gameplay, cute characters, and strategy. During the golden age of arcade video games, it was globally successful, including as the second highest-grossing arcade game of 1982 in Japan. It prompted a long series of sequels and spin-offs.

The Dreamcast is the final home video game console manufactured by Sega. It was released on November 27, 1998, in Japan; September 9, 1999, in North America; and October 14, 1999, in Europe. It was the first sixth-generation video game console, preceding Sony's PlayStation 2, Nintendo's GameCube, and Microsoft's Xbox. The Dreamcast's 2001–02 discontinuation ended Sega's 18 years in the console business.

Sega are very much still around in other areas of the gaming industry either through arcades or gaming partnerships 🎮🎮🎮

The Dreamcast was a favourite of my dads 👨

Did you know Sonic was created by SEGA in 1991 to rival Nintendos mascot Mario ???

Sonic the Hedgehog the video game series and media franchise created by the Japanese developers Yuji Naka, Naoto Ohshima, and Hirokazu Yasuhara for Sega. The franchise follows Sonic, an anthropomorphic blue hedgehog who battles the evil Doctor Eggman, a mad scientist.

And has since gone on to be I. film’s , cartoons & merchandise with other spin offs along the way !!

This was my dad’s favourite game as a kid and it is easy to see why as you work your way through the levels to face the evil doctor Eggman at different stages of the game 🕹️

How many rings can you collect 🦔 to get to the bonus levels ?

Sonic is available in many different games across many different platforms it won’t be hard to see him feature some where 😎 in a gaming venue near you !

I know that sonic does feature in some capacity

The man trying to save the princess in donkey kong is actually Mario ????

Donkey Kong is a 1981 arcade video game developed and published by Nintendo. As Mario, the player runs and jumps on platforms and climbs ladders to ascend a construction site and rescue Pauline from a giant gorilla, the titular Donkey Kong. Space invaders was made in 1978 ???

Space Invaders is a 1978 shoot 'em up arcade video game, developed and released by Taito in Japan and licensed to Midway Manufacturing for overseas distribution. Commonly considered to be one of the most influential video games of all time, Space Invaders was the first fixed shooter and set the template for the genre. The goal is to defeat wave after wave of descending aliens with a horizontally moving laser cannon to earn as many points as possible.

Pac-Man was originally called Puck Man in Japan 🕹️

The 1980 maze action video game developed and released by Namco for arcades. In North America, was released by Midway Manufacturing as part of its licensing agreement with Namco America. The player controls Pac-Man, who must eat all the dots inside an enclosed maze while avoiding four colored ghosts. Eating large flashing dots called "Power Pellets" causes the ghosts to temporarily turn blue, allowing Pac-Man to eat them for bonus points.

There are many different add ons and also modern day twist to pac man including miss pac man, super pac man , pac mania just to name a few 😎

My favourite is PAC-MAN battle royale 🕹️😎
