After being damaged in a fire over 280 years ago, scientists are able to finally read the burned copy of the Magna Carta using an imaging method known as multispectral imaging.

Using a noninvasive imaging method, British Library scientists have decoded an original, fire-damaged version of the Magna Carta dating back to 1215. The document will be displayed in London in 2015.
