"I have been at an absolute loss for words with the sudden

loss of my partner Jigsaw. I feel like a chunk of my soul was torn out. Jigsaw was a loveable softy at home and with friends and an absolute badass K-9 in workmode, who did everything asked of him and then some. He kept raising the bar for himself and me. I hope the next one can live up to the standard he set. I cannot express how much it takes me back and makes me want to cry again regarding the amount of love, support and kindness I have received from so many of you that Jigsaw made such an impact in your lives. I will miss you Jigsaw, you were my partner, my son and part of me. Lily, a quiet little girl, entered a police dog auction holding a jar of coins. She wasn't there out of curiosity-she wanted to bring home Max, the retired police dog who had worked with her late mother, Officer Hannah Parker.

After losing her mom, Lily stopped speaking but kept her mother's lessons close: love deeply and never quit. While bids climbed past $3,000, Lily quietly placed her $52.16 offer. Some chuckled-until Max barked, broke loose, and ran straight to her, sitting faithfully at her side. Silence filled the room. Touched by their connection, others withdrew their bids, allowing Lily to be reunited with Max. This moment was more than money-it was about devotion, loyalty, and hope.

"We are sad to report the passing of retired Precinct 8 K9, Evo. Evo served with the department from 2015 until his retirement in 2021 alongside his handlers Detective James Wingfield and later Deputy Brinkley. Deputy Brinkley's family adopted Evo upon his retirement and sadly, he succumbed to cancer Tuesday evening. We thank Evo for his service to the agency and for the meaningful contribution he had in helping to keep our streets safe. K-9 Ani has been the bestest girl and is ready for retirement! 🐾🗽

After six years of devoted service, K-9 Ani is hanging up her harness and retiring from active duty with Coast Guard Maritime Safety and Security Team New York. As one of only 18 working dogs in the U.S. Coast Guard, Ani has been a vital part of the Coast Guard’s mission and an essential part of MSST New York’s operation.

Ani was partnered with her handler, ME2 Jack Poli, at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas in 2019. Since then, the duo has worked side by side to help safeguard some of the nation’s highest-profile events, including Super Bowl LIV and LV, the NBA All-Star Game, the NFL Draft in Cleveland, and multiple years of the Chicago and Boston Marathons. They also supported numerous National Special Security Events, protecting the President, Vice President, and members of Congress.

Enjoy your well-earned retirement, Ani. May your retirement be filled with sunshine, treats, and endless playing❤️🦴

An 18-year-old Texas man is facing federal charges after shooting a police K9 with a G***k modified by an illegal switch. The dog was hit once in the chest and twice in the neck but survived thanks to a bulletproof vest.

The K9 has since retired from service. The suspect faces up to 10 years in prison, with bond set at $2.5 million.

Pro Tip: When you’re a gang member hiding a gun in your car and you confidently tell yourself, “They’ll never find it…” Don’t run into K9 Rex.

During a recent traffic stop, the passenger really thought he could outsmart us. That was until K9 Rex, our four-legged fi****ms detective, hopped out and said, “Hold my leash.”

Results gun located, gang member arrested, and Rex got belly rubs and a steak.

Rest Easy K-9 Doc 💙🕊️
"A little after 2 pm today, our world, Mikes world stood still. The gates opened and the great German Shepherd from Hungary, K9 Doc, made his grand entrance at the rainbow bridge. He was a fierce leader, a loyal partner and the greatest boy to protect his dad, Officer Mike. Life will never be the same without the gentle giant, and I don’t think time will ever heal the broken hearts left in his passing. I do know, that any Kongs at the rainbow bridge will now become his. It’s just Docs rules. His world. We just lived in it. I can speak for all of us when I say he will be forever missed. A void that will echo daily and a love that will last a lifetime. He was tired and he was ready. Go fetch em all up buddy. I am sure K9 Rex is waiting for you. Look over all of us and protect your dad from above. He will always need you. Don’t forget about us down here. Until we meet again our sweet boy. Close those tired eyes.

A K9 this great, with a stellar career deserves his final radio call. He loved getting his vest on and going to work. He was an amazing bad a$$. Thank you once again to our friends at Blackberry Veterinary Center, PLLC. Thank you will never be enough.
