Life with a Twist of Lemon A Podcast about technology, finance, life, craftsmanship, theology, and a little bit of everything else with a twist of Stan Lemon.

We’ve moved what we’d normally talk about on the phone, here for your listening enjoyment.

🎙️ Episode 187 is out now.

This one ended up being a really interesting mix of topics that all connect in unexpected ways.

We start with a recent Disney Cruise Line ad that aired during the Academy Awards. It is a great example of emotional storytelling. The focus is not ships or destinations. It is about families and memories across generations. A reminder that the best marketing speaks to how people feel.

From there, we get into a concept that is starting to pop up more in AI circles: disposable software. Tools that are created to solve one specific problem and then discarded once the job is done. What could that mean for the future of SaaS?

We also talk about a new term floating around called AIRops (AI + RevOps) and whether AI is becoming less of a specialized role and more of a basic capability that everyone uses.

Lots of fun ideas in this episode and a few thought provoking conversations along the way.

Stan and Jon open with sourdough process notes, premium butter rabbit holes, and a wine recap built around NPR's Rick Steves tasting event and the idea of conviviality. New episode is live! 🍋🎙️

This week’s conversation takes a few unexpected turns. It starts with a surprisingly serious debate about what qualifies as a true Philly and whether pizza dough has any business including sugar.

From there, the story moves into a Chicago weekend featuring a seven-course Michelin tasting menu, thoughtful wine pairings, and a reminder that great dining is about more than just the food.

We wrap with thoughts on Apple’s next event, Siri delays, Vision Pro momentum, and how tools like Codex are starting to reshape everyday workflows.

If you enjoy conversations about food, technology, craftsmanship, and the things we obsess over, this one is for you.

📚🤖🔊 New episode is live.

In this week’s Life with a Twist of Lemon, Jon and Stan start with winter reading lists that run the gamut from Julius Caesar and Dante’s Inferno to The Hunger Games and The Chronicles of Narnia. If you are looking for your next book, there is plenty to steal.

They also share a simple but powerful AI tip: ask your chatbot to slow down and interview you one question at a time so vague ideas turn into something actually useful.

Then… tech therapy.
HomePods behaving badly.
Siri missing the point.
Smart bulbs acting possessed after updates.
AirPlay frustrations.

Stan closes things out with some CarPlay redemption in his new Subaru and the still-unfulfilled dream of Face ID on Macs.

🍋 A little behind, but still worth a listen. 🎙️

This episode dropped the week of Christmas and it’s a cozy one.
We talk gratitude journals, old-school buddy lists, internet nostalgia, and some gentle goal-setting heading into a new year. Light, reflective, and exactly the pace we needed after the holidays.

If you’re easing back into January, this one’s for you.

Emily, a newly self-proclaimed “Twistie,” wrote in to take offense at Stan categorizing chocolate pie as cake.

That kicked off a surprisingly thoughtful debate on the podcast this week.

What actually *is* chocolate pie?
And does it deserve the name?
