Our Story
I love truthful storytelling. I started as a newspaper journalist when I was 15, in an age when the working environment honoured integrity in traditional reporting. Having started in community newspapers, I became a specialist Crime Reporter in my hometown of Auckland NZ, then travelled and worked as a Finance Reporter on the South China Morning Post, and Researcher and Producer in sport for TWI (London), before moving to Australia to work for Channel Nine (Melbourne). After re-settling in Sydney, my career began to centre wholly on writing and, eventually, working as a Supervising Post Producer on television and documentary projects broadcast in the domestic and international markets. Quilt Making is my art practise and another vehicle for storytelling. It keeps my creative fires burning, and has fuelled the writing of my debut memoir exploring healing from grief through mindful craft practise.
