The “Sex and the City” franchise is ending , with the conclusion of the third and now final season of its spinoff “And Just Like That…,” star Sarah Jessica Parker and showrunner, writer and director Michael Patrick King announced the news on Friday. Parker posted a lenghty goodbye on social media. “Carrie Bradshaw has dominated my professional heartbeat for 27 years. I think I have loved her most of all. I know others have loved her just as I have. Been frustrated, condemned and rooted for her,” she wrote. “MPK and I together recognized, as we have in the past, this chapter complete. AJLT was all joy, adventure, the greatest kind of hard work alongside the most extraordinary talent of 380 that includes all the brilliant actors who joined us.”

Heavy Metal icon Ozzy Osbourne has passed away at the age of 76. His family issued a statement, “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love.” Osbourne had been struggling with Parkinson’s disease and other health issues. He performed just two weeks ago in his hometown of Birmingham, England. It was a massive tribute to him and his legendary band, Black Sabbath.

Malcolm-Jamal Warner best known for his role as Theo Huxtable has died at the age of. 54. Warner was on a family vacation in Costa Rica and drowned while swimming after he was caught by a high current. He died of asphyxia near Cocles, a beach in the city of Limon, and his body was identified by Costa Rica’s national police on Sunday.

The news of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’s cancellation shocked his fans. Colbert announced on Thursday that his show will be ending after 10 seasons in 2026. He said during the taping that he "found out just last night" about the decision. "Next year will be our last season. The network will be ending The Late Show in May." His fellow late night host Jimmy Kimmel reacted on social media. He shared a clip of Colbert from the July 17th broadcast. "Love you Stephen," Kimmel wrote. He also called out the network . "F--- you and all your Sheldons CBS," Kimmel added.

HBO’S HARRY POTTER TV series revealed a first look at Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, smiling in costume with the character’s signature round glasses and school uniform. McLaughlin is joined by Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley. The young trio were selected from more than 30,000 actors who auditioned in a casting call last fall.

The Scrubs reboot is a go at ABC. The beloved hospital comedy has been ordered straight-to-series for the 2025-2026 season. Donald Faison and Sarah Chalke have joined Zach Braff who signed on earlier this year to return in their original roles and all three will executive produce. The official log line for the new “Scrubs” states, “JD (Braff) & Turk (Faison) scrub in together for the first time in a long time- medicine has changed, interns have changed, but their bromance has stood the test of time. Characters new and old navigate the waters of Sacred Heart with laughter, heart and some surprises along the way.”

Eric Dane has sat down for his first interview since revealing that he was diagnosed with ALS. “I wake up every day and I’m immediately reminded that this is happening,” Dane told Diane Sawyer in a preview of his upcoming interview on Good Morning America. “It’s not a dream.” In the clip Dane breaks down in tears. “I don’t think this is the end of my story. I don’t feel like this is the end of me,” he said.

Brian Wilson co-founder of The Beach Boys has died at the age of 82. “We are heartbroken to announce that our beloved father Brian Wilson has passed away,” his family wrote in the statement. “We are at a loss for words right now. Please respect our privacy at this time as our family is grieving. We realize that we are sharing our grief with the world.” With the other members of his group, Wilson was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2000.

Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Fruness have officially ended their marriage after announcing their split in September 2023. Furness filed for divorce in New York on Tuesday. According to the filing the couple’s divorce is uncontested and will only need a judge to sign off. "My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal," Furness said in a statement . She said their separation was "a profound wound that cuts deep." The pair tied the knot in 1996 .

The couple met just over three years ago while working on songs for her album "Holy F**k." According to Vogue Lovato wore custom Vivienne Westwood gowns for both the ceremony and the reception. “When I was thinking about [what dress style I wanted] I often found myself coming back to Vivienne’s designs — specifically how the silhouettes really compliment the curves in your body, and her use of corsets,” Lovato said. Lutes wore a Saint Laurent suit.
