Motorsport can be a cruel..

We started the Winton 300 in 4th spot after slipping a back a few places early on co driver Glenn Towsend came back through the field to take the outright lead of the race in the early stages. Extending our lead to second place we pitted on lap 35 for the first of our 2 compulsory pit stops.

We returned to the circuit and continued our consistent race pace throughout the 2nd stint of the race driving through the field again to be outright lead before we took our 2nd compulsory pit stop on lap 69.

After some pit stop issues with the seat belt we returned to track in 5th out right and 2nd in class and continued to show strong pace quickly catching 4th outright and passing them.

On lap 96 of the 100 lap race we lost 4th gear so tried to nurse it around to the end… however on lap 98 of 100 our car had different ideas.

Whilst leading our class with 2 laps remaining the wheel spacer that holds the wheel to the car decided to part ways with the car leaving us stranded in the gravel trap 1.5 laps short of the finish line and a class victory.

As disappointed as we are not to finish for 90 odd laps the car ran faultlessly and strong.
As they say there’s always next year.

Day 1 completed.
Finished the morning practice session in P2 with a personal best time at Winton motor raceway of a 1:32.8.

Qualifying saw us finish in P2 before the top 10 shoot out where we finished P4.

After qualifying got to enjoy some truck racing.

Race tomorrow starting at 1440 for 100 laps.

Day 1 completed. After a successful practice day learning a new track we hope we can continue to learn and improve across the weekend.

Tomorrow we look forward to qualifying for the Winton 300.

After a full day of travel we have arrived at the Winton 300 ready to go!
Full day of practice on Friday followed by qualifying and a top ten shootout on Saturday before the big race on Sunday!

SYDNEY 300 Wrap

After a major gearbox and engine rebuild put our race in jepardoy before it even started the team pulled together to get us out on track.

The car ran faultlessly during practice with no issues after the major rebuilds putting us in a good position for qualifying.

Qualifying was broken down into 3 segments Q1, Q2 and Q3. Q1 would see the 56 car grid reduced to 36 cars advancing to Q2. Q2 would take it from 36 down to the top 12. We made it through to Q3 aiming for a top 10 result. We achieved a 1:43.2 which would have us staring 10th outright and 4th in class.

The race started and straight away co driver Glenn Townsend made up multiple spots to have us running in 7th outright and 2nd in class.

Our 1st pit stop came around lap 24 where we refuelled the tank and put Aaron into the car. Returning to the track in 22 place outright Aaron would slowly bring the car back up to 3rd outright and 1st in class as well as achieving his personal best lap time of Sydney Motorsport park of a 1:43.5.

Then on lap 40 disaster struck. Smoke started to come from the engine bay and upon further inspection in the pits the acusmup oil system failed taking us out of the race.

Thankfully there was no major damage and we will be back out on track in no time at all.

Sydney 300.

This weekend see the team compete in grass roots endurance racing. 300km (77 laps) under the lights of Sydney Motorsport park!

Couple of snapshots from round 1 NSW state championships last weekend.

Finished race 1 with a 1st in class win.
Finished race 2 second in class

Also set a PB for Sydney Motorsport park!!

Next up Sydney 300 on the 18th of May (300km race under lights)
