A few days late but on March 25, 1981, Rick Springfield made his debut as Noah Drake He was in the role for two years before focusing on his music career. He last appeared on the show on January 27, 1983, but was invited back in 2005! 📺

He gets some big love on our podcast episode all about the fab soaps so many of us grew up with! You can check it out here or on any of the podcast directories.

Remember this cult classic?
Starring Christopher Atkins (The Blue Lagoon) and Kristy McNichol (Little Darlings). It was very loosely based on Gilbert and Sullivan's 1879 comic opera The Pirates of Penzance and pokes fun at it. It had all original music for the film.

The movie was a large flop in its theatrical run, however in the 1980s, HBO ran the movie, often many times a day, and it gained a large fan base and cult classic status.

Behind the scenes, the outtake at the end of the movie was an inside-joke. Director Ken Annakin was annoyed throughout filming with Kristy McNichol, who was constantly chewing gum during the shoot.
