🥳...presave away ! Chris Simmons

So pleased to share that the additional tracks on the physical 'A Cold December' release will be available to stream and download this Friday.

The Reasons Surrounding and Passing Out are two songs that I am super proud of. I've re-worked them in the studio and am really happy with how they've come out. I'll go into more detail about the songs this week.

As ever, pre-saving the tracks to Spotify/Apple/Deezer or wherever you stream your music makes a huge difference - it lets the services know that there is a demand for the tracks, so please feel to do that here:

PRE SAVE THE TRACKS HERE 👇👇

It really makes a massive difference and is completely free 💥

Get two free, exclusive tracks when you sign up too!

This is so, so important!

Hey all,

So I am very excited to share some really, really important news. I have a mailing list, and if you sign up, you will receive two free exclusive tracks to download that are not on any streaming services! An original and a cover.

Why the mailing list?

During the Cold December chart push, it became very obvious to me that it was getting harder and harder for followers of my social-media pages to see my posts. I have nearly 13k followers across the various platforms, and, on average, only 10% of that audience were seeing my posts in their feed. I had to sponsor posts to boost their visibility, and even then, the posts weren't even close to being seen by the majority of you.

Signing up to this mailing list means I can cut out middle-man and let you know directly when there is big news, when tickets go on sale, and when releases are available to order, etc.

2025 and 2026 are going to be absolutely huge, and I can only do it, like always, with the backing and support of you beautiful people. Signing up to this list means you will DEFINITELY be in with all the developments and news. I have some really lovely things planned, and we are locked and ready to go!

Join the mailing list via the link below 👇 and lets smash 2025 and 2026! x

"Large Language Learning Models have sampled the entire works of humanity ... that probably includes yours... " Mark Smutz Smith

AI and the Creative Commons: Why We Must Demand Fairness for All Creators

In the age of AI, we are living in an unprecedented era where technology has the capacity to analyze and learn from nearly every recorded work of humanity. From novels to music, artwork to research, large language models have been trained on a massive array of creative output. This includes a vast amount of material that has been published online — which, if you have any digital presence, could very well include your own words, images, or ideas. And for creators who make their living from their work, this reality raises important questions.

The European Union has been making strides in addressing this issue by proposing mechanisms to license and credit the creators whose works fuel AI training. However, the UK is yet to implement similar measures. While the EU moves to protect the rights of creators and ensure fair compensation, many in the UK — and globally — are left wondering why similar safeguards aren’t being prioritized here.

This conversation has taken on urgency with the growing support for the **Statement on AI Training**, endorsed by over 10,000 musicians, artists, actors, authors, and other creators from around the world. Organizations like PRS for Music have lent their voices to this statement, standing firm against the unlicensed use of creative works for AI training. The issue is clear: the lack of consent and fair compensation is an existential threat to the livelihoods of countless creatives.

As PRS for Music highlights, "The unlicensed use of creative works for training generative AI is a major, unjust threat to the livelihoods of the people behind those works, and must not be permitted."

For those of us who value creativity and fairness, it’s time to add our voices to the movement. By supporting the demand for change, we uphold a future where AI and human creativity can coexist without exploitation. You can join the call for a fairer future by signing the statement [here](https://lnkd.in/ey6nWUD8) and standing in solidarity with artists worldwide.
