before saudade and Andrew Spellman are the individual solo acts of Half an Orange. They came together to re-work and sample one of their earliest songs “I Need U to Stay”.

need u was debuted this year during their run of US shows with the legendary Shingo Nakamura.

“I wrote the original lyrics while living with my girlfriend (now wife) in Rio de Janeiro Brazil. We were super young, super broke, and living off love and blind optimism. This song has always held a special place in my heart. I’m grateful that Andrew and I got to re-visit it through need u” - before saudade 🍊
