As Ustadha Taslimah realises her soul is about to leave, she skips from verse 5 of Surah Baqarah to verse 163 and her final words she recites are "Your god is one God". Upholding monotheism and Tawheed till her final breath.

There are signs of a good end, some of which are seen by the dying person as he is dying, and some which may be visible to other people.

There are many signs of a good end, which the scholars (may Allaah have mercy on them) have derived from the texts which speak of that. These signs include the following:

1 – Uttering the shaahadah (testimony of faith) when dying
2 – Dying with sweat on the forehead
3 – Dying on the night or day of Friday
4 – Dying as a fighter for the sake of Allaah
5 – Dying of the plague
6 – Dying of a stomach disease
7 – Dying because of being crushed by a falling wall or by drowning
8 – If a woman dies as a result of childbirth, or when she is pregnant
9 – Dying to defend one’s religion, one’s wealth or one’s life
10 – Dying guarding the borders of Islam for the sake of Allaah.

Group 1 says that there is nothing wrong if we do dua for non muslims who died and they qoute a hadith:

Narrated `Abdur Rahman bin Abi Laila:
Sahl bin Hunaif and Qais bin Sa`d were sitting in the city of Al-Qadisiya. A funeral procession passed in front of them and they stood up. They were told that funeral procession was of one of the inhabitants of the land i.e. of a non-believer, under the protection of Muslims. They said, "A funeral procession passed in front of the Prophet (ﷺ) and he stood up. When he was told that it was the coffin of a Jew, he said, "Is it not a living being (soul)?" (Sahih al-Bukhari 1312)

Group 2 says that its haram to do dua for non muslims who died in the state of kufr and they qoute from Quran:

Surah At-Tawbah (Ch 9 Ayah 84)

And do not pray [the funeral prayer, O Muḥammad], over any of them who has died - ever - or stand at his grave. Indeed, they disbelieved in Allāh and His Messenger and died while they were defiantly disobedient.

اور (اے پیغمبر) ان میں سے کوئی مر جائے تو کبھی اس (کے جنازے) پر نماز نہ پڑھنا اور نہ اس کی قبر پر (جا کر) کھڑے ہونا۔ یہ خدا اور اس کے رسول کے ساتھ کفر کرتے رہے اور مرے بھی نافرمان (ہی مرے)

Surah At-Tawbah (Ch 9 Ayah 113)

It is not for the Prophet and those who have believed to ask forgiveness for the polytheists, even if they were relatives, after it has become clear to them that they are companions of Hellfire.

پیغمبر اور مسلمانوں کو شایاں نہیں کہ جب ان پر ظاہر ہوگیا کہ مشرک اہل دوزخ ہیں۔ تو ان کے لیے بخشش مانگیں گو وہ ان کے قرابت دار ہی ہوں

In this brand new series, we will explore the stories of all the Prophets mentioned in the Quran & Sahih Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in Hindi/Urdu.

We relate to you, [O Muḥammad], the best of stories in what We have revealed to you of this Qur’ān although you were, before it, among the unaware. (12:3) And We have already sent messengers before you. Among them are those [whose stories] We have related to you, and among them are those [whose stories] We have not related to you. And it was not for any messenger to bring a sign [or verse] except by permission of Allāh. So when the command of Allāh comes, it will be concluded [i.e., judged] in truth, and the falsifiers will thereupon lose [all]. (40:78) It is We who relate to you, [O Muḥammad], their story in truth. Indeed, they were youths who believed in their Lord, and We increased them in guidance.(18:13) And each [story] We relate to you from the news of the messengers is that by which We make firm your heart. And there has come to you, in this, the truth and an instruction and a reminder for the believers. (11:120) There was certainly in their stories a lesson for those of understanding. Never was it [i.e., the Qur’ān] a narration invented, but a confirmation of what was before it and a detailed explanation of all things and guidance and mercy for a people who believe. (12:111)And if We had willed, We could have elevated him thereby, but he adhered [instead] to the earth and followed his own desire. So his example is like that of the dog: if you chase him, he pants, or if you leave him, he [still] pants. That is the example of the people who denied Our signs. So relate the stories that perhaps they will give thought. (7:176)
