🏆 Neshoma (Nesjomme) by Sandra Beerends has won the award for Best Use of Footage in a History Feature!

A film about Jewish life in between-the-wars Amsterdam, blending archival footage — much of it from the Eye Filmmuseum collection — with the fictional story of Rusha, inspired by real testimonies.

Congratulations to director Sandra Beerends for this achievement and to the whole team! 🌟

We’re honored that R3store Studios has been shortlisted for the 2025 FOCAL International Award for Best Archive Restoration & Preservation Project or Title—and we can’t wait to celebrate with the archive community.

Our project, A Lovely Day for Digital Preservation, brought the Guinness Archive back to life—restoring iconic adverts and making the entire film collection publicly available for the first time ever.

Just three weeks to go until the FOCAL International Awards, where our film, 'In the Veins', has been shortlisted for 'Best Use of Footage in a Short Film Production'.

Made in collaboration with Teesside University, 'In the Veins' resonates through time, using over a century of archive footage to shine a light onto the face of the coal mining heritage of Yorkshire and the North East of England.

We’re proud to share that R3store Studios has been shortlisted for the 2025 FOCAL International Award for Best Archive Restoration & Preservation Project or Title!

We are honored our project, “A Lovely Day for Digital Preservation” – the Guinness Archive adverts restoration, is being recognized.

This nomination celebrates our passion for preserving cultural heritage through innovation, detail, and storytelling. A huge thanks to Guinness for entrusting us with their iconic archive. It was fun to work on and be a part of their project, they now have their entire film collection digitized and publicly available for the first time ever.

We are also excited that R3el is sponsoring an award at this year’s FOCAL Awards. We can’t wait to celebrate with the archival community. Good luck to all nominees!
