Early in my career I interview Mary Wilson. At the time, I had never met anyone who personified glamour and show business the way she did. She toyed with me that night😂. She flirted with me the entire LIVE broadcast knowing this little young host didn’t know how to handle this diva who walked into the studio and beguiled every man there. From the cameramen to the audio guy to the director who came out to the studio (he never did that) to “check on” things and greet the guest. I saw Mary a couple of years ago (by then I was much cooler) and recounted the story. We laughed, but she also had a look like “what else were you expecting?” With Mary you got what you expected, a superstar! RIP
