Stranded FM is for the kids!! Gemeente Utrecht is throwing a festival on the roof of Parkeergarage Paardenveld, an initiative of the municipality to celebrate our iconic building and their new ownership. During this day the roof becomes a small festivalsite with fun activities by most of our dear neighbors, filled with live music & good food. We’ll be there hosting two free workshops for the next generation of radio DJ’s 🎧

Stranded FM docks at Beton-T this Sunday! 🏝️

Utrecht based online radio platform is celebrating 10 years of broadcasting and celebrates this throughout the entire year. For one day the iconic Studio-T mobile at .utrecht is in hands of the local radio heads, bringing a selection of Stranded FM residents, merchandise & fun! Expect dub, soul, kraut, UK club, italo & more. 🔊

The first 2 hours of the day Stranded FM will be hosting a free introduction dj workshop for all ages, send stranded fm a dm if u are interested to join!

We’re looking for new studio hosts for next season! As a host you welcome artists, are responsible for starting and recording the shows and keeping the studio cozy - basically being like a floor manager during your shift. It’s a great opportunity to enter the wonderful world of online radio, meet music heads and cute friends, learn technical studio skills and support your local Utrecht scene!

So, does that sound like you and are you available for +/- 3 hours per month (or more)? We would love to hear from you! Fill out the host sign-up form and hopefully we’ll see you soon 💛

- Camy Huot

is known for driving the pulse of the underground scene via her Wavecrash events, Too Many Creeps livestreams, Batcage Radio shows and DJ sets at live shows & festivals like Best Kept Secret, Gothic Pogo, Club Solitaire, WaveFest and Grauzone.

On stage she explores the depths of minimal wave, synth punk, electro, and EBM, weaving them into an evocative sonic journey.

Her debut EP “Echoes In My Room” is showcasing her growth as a producer and her commitment to creating introspective electronic music. In a recent article by Post-Punk.com, her debut single is described as a “fevered sound collage of rhythm and reverberation,” capturing the lingering sensations of a night out. Camy Huot explains that the track reflects the experience of returning home with sounds still resonating, serving as “an ode to the mistakes we made at night.” The full EP is slated for release in Spring 2025 under Wave Tension Records. 

- Dead Aliens 
Formed by the lovely musical misfits and “Dead Aliens” is bringing their Stranded FM’s residency energy into a new realm during a dj-set at the zine release. Think noisy, electronics, weird, p***y and yet highly danceable?

We can’t wait till Friday! While the Zine’s ink is drying and the folding begins we’d love to introduce some of the acts we are honored to have over:  - 🔥

Birth of Manuel is a Faxe-powered punk band from the Utrecht underground scene. Consisting of members of Throwing Bricks, Yama and Ciao Bon Jovi Jon Bon Jon Jovi Jon, the sole purpose of this group of friends is to have fun.

After releasing their debut album ‘Death Of’ in 2019, Birth of Manuel suddenly stopped existing. However, a couple of years later, the band rose from the ashes of a smoked jonko to play some shows again. With a rebirth in full swing and a new album on the way, this four piece is ready to underline their strong live reputation. Expect a musical onslaught of hardcore, post-punk, noise rock and metal that will even get the biggest critics dancing. 📸:

consensual peggy is a DIY riotgrrrl punkband, who is not averse to hysteria. Unpredictable, loud and fantastically ferocious.
Born out of anger and disbelief against patriarchal society. Consensual Peggy can be your lover, best friend, your mommy, or fe**om. She can also be your enemy, hater, never-ending confrontational partner. You choose.
 What you can expect exactly? No idea. But you may sing along.

Hi there! Internet radio-platform Stranded FM wants to make Utrecht a nicer place. We push local musical talent, stimulate creators and provide a hub for the many cultural institutes that our city inhibits.

We give attention to both new innovative artists and forgotten sounds from the wide musical spectrum. Be sure to catch odd radio plays, societal discussions and other artistic surprises between the notes as well.

Stranded FM is officially a non-profit foundation and since 2015 collaborated with parties such as TivoliVredenburg, EKKO, Gaudeamus, Lowlands, het Centraal Museum and Le Guess Who? festival.
