We want to shine a light on someone making a big difference in their community. Principal Tracy Renfro at Adams Elementary in Michigan started “We All Belong,” a multicultural celebration where students and families share their cultures through food, clothing, and storytelling. It’s a beautiful example of inclusion in action.

What’s especially inspiring is that it only takes one person committed to the work. Because of Tracy, students aren’t just learning—they’re feeling like they belong. And that kind of change echoes through classrooms, communities, and beyond.

Scrappy Podcast

The future will be shaped by ordinary people punching well above their weight. Scrappy is a podcast about small organizations doing big things. It’s about business owners, community leaders and movers-and-shakers realizing their dreams, in spite of limited resources and significant barriers, with a little creativity and a whole lot of grit.

In our inaugural season, we talk to an innovator attacking food deserts with urban farming, a visionary addressing recidivism with jobs for former inmates, a leader delivering solar and irrigation solutions to rural Nepal, a pioneer converting trash into currency for developing nations, and many others.

Learn from the inspirational stories of these unsung heroes: how they solve problems, recover from failure, and find success against all odds.
