Introducing the 2026 Voices of the Dream: MLK Regional Choir Competition January 16th and 17th in Shreveport, La.!

Come or compete for a for a soul-stirring celebration of music, community, and legacy at the inaugural Voices of the Dream: MLK Regional Choir Competition, proudly hosted by Visit Shreveport-Bossier and the 318 MLK DreamFest Steering Committee.

This two-day event honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s enduring message of unity and hope through the power of choral performance. Choirs from across the region will lift their voices in three powerful categories: Gospel, Spirituals, and Inspirational (Sacred/Secular) — all showcasing the timeless spirit of resilience and harmony.

Experience performances that move hearts, inspire change, and celebrate the shared legacy that continues to bring people together.

CineNoir: Black Voices in Film is coming back for it's third year at RFC in partnership with Mahogani Media and submissions are officially open! This annual showcase will close out Black History Month with a celebration of the rich and diverse tapestry of Black culture through visual storytelling.
