Tonight's the night! It's Louisiana Film Prize season!! Come join the celebration as we toast to 2026! If you ever wanted to hop on a film prize set this is your chance to tap in as well!

Tonight, filmmakers, cast and crew will meet to celebrate a new year of creation and collaboration at the Film Prize Kickoff and Film Industry Meetup.

Here they will forge new friendships and plan the very productions that will appear at the Film Prize festival in October of this year. Each team will try to win the massive $50,000 cash prize.

If you are looking to get your foot in the door in the local film industry, cut your teeth on Film Prize short films in 2026. Don’t wait another year. If you’re an appreciator of film or a patron of the arts, you’re invited too.

LOCATION SCOUTING CALL -LAKE HOUSE

Ever thought about having your home in a film?

We’re currently searching for key filming locations for an upcoming movie in March and would love help from our community!

LAKE HOUSE #1
We’re looking for a lake house that blends rustic charm with a touch of elegance.

Looking For:
• A high-ceilinged living room or family space
• A large, open-plan kitchen
• A basement or area that can play as a basement
• A large back balcony or deck overlooking both the yard and the lake
• A long driveway in the front
• A front yard with enough space for action, including a snowball fight scene and our finale.

LAKE HOUSE #2
Similar size and basic layout as the first lake house, but it needs to look visually distinct on camera so audiences clearly know it’s a different home.
