There are only a few spots left for the Southern Gothic Friday the 13th Tour in historic downtown Franklin, Tennessee…

Hear the dark history behind this otherwise picturesque Southern town— from its local legends to its violent past— right on down to the historic cemetery.

Only 13 spots were available, so this is definitely a special, small event you won’t want to miss!

When you make something, you often get criticism. Lots and lots of criticism. Usually, that criticism comes in the middle of the night. So I've learned to ignore and block bad-faith arguments and comments meant to tear down rather than be constructive. That being said, for those folks who have supported the show & want to have difficult conversations about history, I'm always open & available... but being nice is required... otherwise, bless your heart.

Y'all, I am so excited about today's episode. It isn't too often that we get the chance to find such a unique piece of local lore with so much depth that hasn't already been exposed to such a wide audience. Factor in the help we had from folks down in Meade County to tell this tale & it is already one of my favorite episodes!

Have you listened yet? Do you believe Leah Smock was a witch?

It will be corrected but this is further evidence that this is truly an indie pod with

This week, we head to a holler outside of Nashville, Tennessee, to unravel the enigma of Knox Martin—a figure shrouded in mystery, who some claim to be the South's very own Frankenstein! 🧟‍♂️✨

On March 28, 1869, Knox Martin was hanged for murdering John and Elizabeth Wittenmeier in their Nashville home. Curiously, only several days prior, Martin had made a deal with local physicians to s...
