Last day of International Zine Month... I just attended a fun virtual zine gathering organised by Space Coast Zine Club and now it's time to post my review of Wort Journal. (I'll blog more about IZM asap).

Wort Journal is a radical herbalist publication and it's 200% my cup of tea! It combines herbal knowledge, folklore, art, poetry, and intersectional activism with essays on foraging in Palestine, the Mobile Herbal Clinic in Calais, tarot cards & plantlore, the ethics of foraging, and much much more.

Introducing Echo Zines!

Echo Zines is a creative project by Nina Zina (she/they) that is based in Belgium. As Echo Zines, Nina produces zines, postcards, stickers, buttons, and spell bags (and she plays in the feminist witch punk band Lavender Witch!). The witch zines that Nina makes talk about herbal magic, amulets, self-love potions, mundane witchcraft, and personal reflections about skeptical witchery. Echo Zines’ stickers and buttons feature sigils for self-empowerment and for q***r, anti-racist, and accessibility activism, and the postcards depict witches in various settings. Nina also sews and assembles spell bags with natural and repurposed ingredients to promote self-care and community care.
