4.3 M Earthquake Strikes Nepal

A magnitude 4.3 earthquake struck Nepal at 1:33 AM IST on May 23, 2025. The National Center for Seismology (NCS) reported the epicenter at latitude 29.36°N and longitude 80.44°E, with a depth of 10 kilometers. Fortunately, no casualties or significant damage have been reported.

Grandparents and Granddaughter Cremated Together After Heart-Wrenching Jeep Fire Tragedy in Pathibhara❗️

Jhapa, Nepal– In a deeply tragic moment, the bodies of three members of the same family who lost their lives in a devastating jeep fire near Pathibhara, Taplejung, were cremated together on Tuesday evening at the Sankateshwar Bishranti Ghat in Bhadhrapur-7, Deuniya.

Among the victims were 70-year-old Binod Paudel and his 69-year-old wife Sarita Paudel, residents of Bhadhrapur-8, whose final rites were performed on a single funeral pyre. Their 16-year-old granddaughter, Aadhya Acharya, who was from Lalitpur, was also laid to rest at the same ghat, bringing heartache to the entire community.

The family was returning from Pathibhara when their vehicle caught fire, turning a spiritual journey into an unimaginable tragedy.
