Following our bathroom remodel, which included the installation of a smart toilet, we are seeking advice on how to keep the outlet and cord dry. A shower curtain will be installed, and I was thinking of using plastic wrap on the cord, but what suggestions do you have for protecting the outlet?

What's the correct approach to desoldering this valve? I've heated the joints, but I'm not seeing any reaction aside from smoke. Is it possible that residual water in the pipe is hindering the sweating process?
