I fully intend to bring a stack of records and CDs down to KZAX World Headquarters, arrange them in neat piles, and play them in a possibly-connected or thematic manner.
However, there is young, slightly clingy kitty currently on my lap.
* Listeners! Will Uncle Spike make it to KZAX World Headquarters in time for this 7pm (Pacific Time) show?
* Will this mystery kitty somehow stash away in the record bag, reappear at the station, and randomly press buttons that will alter the 94.9 FM frequency?
* Currently, Mystery Kitty (identified only as "MK Ultrabrite" does have an extended history of walking across laptop computer keyboards, often with bizarre results. Could this impact the station's website URL of www.kzaxradio.org?
* Could MK Ultrabrite even warp the time-space continuum enough to alter the Thursday night broadcast schedule, thus throwing Uncle Spike's Variety Hours into an alternative multiverse?
* Or, in the words of 3 Dog Night, "The Show must go on!"
* Tune in tonight and discover the warm, medium-textured reality of this Ultra-sonic situation.

Also purchased: a brand new (reissue) Varese pressing of the classic
* -Odyssey and Oracle- by the Zombies. Should I slice that one open, too?
Thanks to Swapacd.com and despite the glacial delivery of the USPS, a new-to-me copy of the classic album by
* Stereolab -Dots and Loops- will get some airplay.

Also tonight, not on my show, from 8-10 PST at the Shakedown will be a tribute to Bruce Springsteen's -Nebraska- album, hosted by Cape Flattery and friends. I'll see you there.
