We have sooo many great shows on KZAX radio, hosted by a wide variety of DJs/announcers delivering the tunes. This afternoon, I scored (yet another!) great deal at the Assistance League Thrift Shop (Helps kids get school backpacks and supplies every year.)

This got me thinking about one of our Monday night shows, ***The Bargain Bin.*** DJ Zay scours the used racks of the city, and on 2nd and 4th Mondays at 8-9pm, spins "an hour of used and found CDs, featuring everything from old familiar favorites to tracks buried deep in the sands of time." Respect from Yer bargainhuntingunkle.

Tonght I'll mix up tunes from my collection, recent acquisitions, library loaners, and goodies from the modest, but ever-expanding KZAX radio library. Come and join the fun!

For a future show, I'm compiling the greatest/most innovative/crazy cover versions of original songs. Pop, rock, jazz,, reggae... every style of music has examples of someone performing another's work.
However, not all are interesting or transcendent. (I'm a fan of Fleetwood Mac's -Rumours- LP, and Waylon Jennings, but Waylon's cover of "Gold Dust Woman" doesn't do much for me.)
On the other hand, Sarah Jarosz struck a chord with me in the "folky" style covering The Sunday's "Can't Be Sure" with Christ Thiele and band on his radio show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bg1TYrfc_k4
