Did you know Medicare doesn’t cover everything?

Many people are surprised to learn that while Medicare provides important health coverage, it doesn’t cover all your healthcare needs especially as you age.

Here are some key things Medicare does NOT cover:
• Custodial care (help with daily activities like bathing, dressing, or eating)
• Assisted living facility costs
• Long-term care in a nursing home
• Dental care (routine cleanings, dentures,
etc.)
• Vision care (glasses, contacts, routine
Exams)
• Hearing aids and exams
• Routine foot care
• Cosmetic procedures
• Most chiropractic care
• Overseas medical expenses

Planning ahead is key. There are options to fill the gaps in Medicare, like long-term care insurance or certain types of life insurance with living benefits.

I want to start today with a powerful quote from the Dalai Lama: “If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.”

This truly resonates. Acts of kindness not only lift others but also make us feel good, valuable, and alive. Think about the last time you went out of your way to be kind—didn’t it brighten your day too? While many of us naturally extend kindness, what if we made it a regular practice? Imagine the ripple effect of spreading more good in the world!

When we perform random acts of kindness without expecting anything in return, we fuel our own spirit while touching the lives of others. 🌟 "Pay it forward"—it's a beautiful way to live.
