In honor of International Dog Day, the Norton is going to the dogs—literally! Paws & Pose: A Pup-Up Exhibit is a playful pop-up exhibition featuring a collection of silly, heartwarming, hilarious, and always adorable candid canine photos of our Shreveport four-legged community. From muddy paws to costume fails, this lighthearted display celebrates the joy, mischief, and unconditional love our four-legged friends bring to our lives. Come wag your tail through the museum and see why dogs truly are (wo)man’s best friend!
This exhibit is on display from 21 August - 21 September 2025 at the R.W. Norton Art Gallery.

🤝Meet the mind behind the The 39 Steps—Director Dr. Ray Scott Crawford!

His creative vision is leading The 39 Steps to the SLT stage, and it’s going to be a wild, unforgettable ride🔎🌟

He says, "I am really enjoying the director's process of exploring the comedy and style of The 39 Steps. It is challenging to balance the play's fond nod to Alfred Hitchcock's classic espionage thriller from the 1930's with the comic style of Monty Python or Mel Brooks--both of which the play demands. Our cast is certainly up to the challenge--I could not be more pleased. I have cast six talented actors to portray 30 or more characters--some "normal," some "bizarre," but all charming and funny. All I can say is, "exactly how does one stage a train-car police chase and have our hero leap from a six-story steel bridge into a river in the Scottish moors?" Therein lies the fun!"
