Today is the 1275nd day of the full-scale invasion and 4,187 day of the russia’s war against Ukraine.
Over the past 24 hours, 167 combat engagements took place. The russians launched two missile strikes (five missiles), 61 airstrikes (dropping 127 guided bombs), conducted 5,407 shelling attacks (including 123 from MLRS), and deployed 5,939 kamikaze drones against Ukrainian positions and settlements.

A correspondent of the Ukrainian Information Service visited the site of the strikes and documented Russia’s crimes against the population.

Today is the 1,271st day of the full-scale armed aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine.

Update as of 08:00AM on Russian invasion of Ukraine

In total, 148 combat clashes were recorded over the past day.

According to updated information, yesterday the invaders carried out 68 airstrikes across Ukraine, dropping 127 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they used 4,718 kamikaze drones and conducted 5,955 shellings of our troops’ positions and settlements, including 140 from multiple launch rocket systems.

The hottest front directions are Kupiansk and Luman in Kharkiv region and Pokrovsk in Donestk region.

Russia – Ukraine war updates: key developments as of August 15, 2025

Today is the 1269nd day of the full-scale invasion and 4,181 day of the russia’s war against Ukraine.

Over the past 24 hours, 149 combat clashes were recorded. Russian forces launched two missile strikes using two missiles, 81 airstrikes dropping 162 guided bombs, and conducted 5,839 shelling attacks, including 88 from multiple launch rocket systems. The enemy also deployed 5,593 kamikaze drones.

Since the start of the current day, there have been 65 combat engagements.

Russian forces made 29 attempts to dislodge our defenders from their positions in the areas of Poltavka, Volodymyrivka, Fedorivka, Novoeconomichne, Rodynske, Sukhetske, Promin, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, Udachne, Dachne, and Novoukrainka. The Defense Forces are holding the line, having repelled 24 enemy attacks, while five engagements are still ongoing.

About EMPR

EMPR (an abbreviation of Euromaidan PR) is a self-funded, alternative news media outlet born on the barricades of Euromaidan and is #1 Independent Citizen Media about Ukraine, investigating, giving analysis and reporting the Truth.

EMPR focuses on developing the capacity of Ukrainian citizens to engage with the international community and disseminate news on actual events in Ukraine as a window into conflict areas in times of crisis and as a guide in times of reforms.

In the early January 2014 the group of activists established EuromaidanPR as community to help international journalists who didn’t speak Ukrainian with reliable information on citizens protest against corruption regime – Revolution of Dignity in Ukraine. They had HQ in the Trade Unions House [at the heart of Euromaidan] in the center of Kyiv and direct communication with international press that came to Kyiv.

Besides off-line direct communication with journalists, on-line Facebook platforms, YouTube Channel and Twitter account with the same name EuromaidanPR have been established and more than 250 volunteers all over the World have been involved.
