Today we spent the day remembering Jean Hamby, sharing stories & laughs. Jean was so very important to HD Senior Center. She was one of the original seniors that helped to start the center. Always making sure we had what we needed here & making sure everyone, knew Jesus

Photos with Santa returns to TCCC on December 1 from 1–6:30 PM! Bring the dogs, cats, kids, and the whole family!
A $25 donation to the TCCC Foundation gets you one photo, and additional photos are just $10. After the event, all photos will be posted to Facebook where you can vote for Best Photo by liking your favorite. The picture with the most likes wins a special prize!

Thank you Holly & members of the Unaka Community Center & Senior Center for your generous food donation to the Hiwassee Dam Food Pantry.
The HD Food Pantry will be open again, Monday December 1st from 8 am-1 pm

We had a few people come by the Community Building today, that were upset to think that they would not be able to vote, especially for Sheriff, this is what Jennifer O'Dell from the Election Board sent me:
THIS ELECTION IS NOT FOR SHERIFF. THAT ELECTION IS NEXT YEAR. YES, THEY HAVE PUT OUT SIGNS EARLY & IT HAS CONFUSED A LOT OF PEOPLE. WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THAT. AS FOR THIS ELECTION, YOU CAN ONLY VOTE IF YOU LIVE INSIDE THE CITY LIMITS. THAT IS JUST HOW THE TOWN ELECTIONS WORK & HAVE WORKED. IT IS NOT ANYTHING NEW. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS FEEL FREE TO COME BY THE OFFICE.

I am so proud of the amazing Senior Center we have. We are such a mixture of different people & yet, we are like one big family. Today, like so many Fridays was party day. Shirley outdid herself, as usual with this "DELICIOUS" charcuterie board, BINGO, lots of laughs shared fellowship with some Grands. What a wonderful day of Fun & fellowship
