"I was at work, taking the elevator, going to my office, minding my business. He was an older, prominent member of the organization with an important title. He turned around and started groping me in the elevator! I felt violated, confused, fearful, and disgusted that it seemed like no big deal to him to invade my personal space and body. I felt anger that something like this could ever happen to my daughter. It also made me wonder what worse he could have done to others that he felt groping a stranger in an elevator was acceptable. I went straight to the HR office and told them what happened. They apologized to me, wrote it up, called him in and terminated his membership. I went back to work completely shook but thankful they were supportive"

Never be afraid to speak out no matter how small the inappropriate behavior seems as it's long lasting affects on self image can slowly eat away at the foundation of one's esteem until issues like depression are experienced, alternative methods of coping are explored and fear of co-existing happens, which can lead to withdrawing.

It is our human purpose to create a respectable, loving, safe environment for each other - never to harm one another. Speaking up and holding people accountable is a big part of that!

Interesting. I took the quiz although I don't drink/like wine. Apparently, I'm fruity and I pair well with veggies. Go figure

All I know is when I'm on a flight and someone next to me drinks red wine, the smell makes me sick... can't stand it, yet it somehow always happens to me, Lol.
